Therapy Specialities

  • ADHD

Our therapists have lived ADHD experience, and understand that it’s not about “trying harder” or simply focusing more. ADHD reflects a different way of processing and engaging with the world, oftentimes within systems designed for neurotypical minds. In our work together, we will identify strengths and strategies to help you thrive.

  • Anxiety

Anxiety can often present as feelings of dread, worry, or even having difficulties with relaxation. High functioning anxiety can look like holding everything together, but still feeling overwhelmed. Therapeutic work will focus on identifying any underlying triggers, processing emotions connected to stressors, and developing sustainable coping strategies. The goal with anxiety is to help you respond to it with greater confidence and control.

  • Depression

Depression can have you feeling down, hopeless, or a loss of interest in things that once brought you joy. Treatment will use cognitive behavioral techniques to help identify distortions and experiences contributing to your depression. We will challenge any unhelpful beliefs and build practical coping strategies.

  • Life Transitions

Career changes, relationship struggles, heading off to college or graduation, parenthood or other major life shifts often bring on a mix of strong feelings ranging from excitement to stress. Short term counseling can help process any life transitions to help you move forward with coping strategies.

  • Military families and members

Military life comes with unique life demands. It is more than just a career, it is a lifestyle that affects relationships, routines, and identity. As a military spouse, I recognize firsthand how this lifestyle affects service members and their families. Therapeutic work explores challenges specific to military life to help you build resiliency.

  • Trauma

Trauma is complex, and can influence how you see yourself, others, and the world around you. It may look like heightened anxiety, numbness, or intrusive thoughts. My approach to trauma is to be gentle and offer a place of safety. Therapy is not about relieving traumatic experiences or pushing you past your comfort level. Rather, it is a safe space to process your experiences and see your resiliency.
